Hilliard Green Holiday Specials!

Happy Halloween! I hope all the little ghouls and goblins had a spooky good time

I’m offering three specials for Hilliard Green residents this Holiday season:

1. Portraits for the Holidays: If you’re thinking of giving portraits as gifts this year, there’s still plenty of time for a regular outdoor session. If you live in Hilliard Green (or across the street in Hilliard Meadows!) I’m offering a special half-price session ($75) to take place during November at either Hilliard Green Park or Homestead Park.

2. Holiday Family Portraits: The Holidays are a great time to capture the family when everyone’s together! For this special session I will come to your home during November/December, holidays INCLUDED. Again, this applies to Hilliard Green/Hilliard Meadows residents only, however, if your holiday gatherings are at another location we can certainly discuss other options. Special session fee of $95.

3. Hilliard Green Portrait Party: More info coming soon, these will start in Spring 2012. Email me if you would like on my mailing list.

A boy (and his brother and his sister) and his Dog

There are so many things that went right with this session! That’s why I am so sad I didn’t get a better portrait with Sam the dog This family specifically wanted Sam in a portrait with all three children but I just couldn’t make it happen that day. I got this, but that’s about it.

Sometimes it just doesn’t happen. So I want to use this as a chance to mention one of my policies. A policy which, luckily, I’ve never had to use before!

If, for any reason, we just can’t get the pictures we set out to get, I will always offer you a make up session at no charge. I want you to be happy with ADORE your portraits! I want you to love the heck out of them and if you don’t then I haven’t done my job. I will never put a time limit on a session and I will never stop trying to make you happy.

Got that out of the way Now on to what DID happen that Sunday!

Well, I took more time off than I had planned. My daughter is now 10 months old. Time to get back to work!

A slight scheduling snafu meant this charming family had to put up with my children at their photo session. I’ve only done one other photo session with child in tow, and that was a DISASTER. My boy truly thought he was helping when he stood behind me as I snapped a picture and pulled out my hair clips… to make the subject smile I think! That was several years ago and although I would have preferred no tag-a-longs this session, the boy is older now and the baby was in a good mood, so it went well. A great big thank you to this family though for being so understanding! I think it worked out

Not School Pictures

Are your kids NOT in school? Do they still need school pictures? Then come one, come all to the first annual NOT SCHOOL pictures! We’ll be set up at the first Thursday park day (6/2) at the Big Meadows picnic area at Highbanks.

Each 10 minute no-fee mini-session will use available light (no artificial flash here!) and the park as a natural backdrop to showcase your stunning child in all his or her homeschooled glory. We’ll take a couple photos then choose your favorite for your super high quality yet extremely affordable package. Click Here for prices. If you need a larger package than listed let me know and I’ll put together a custom quote for you.

I’ve been known to implement lollipop bribery but if your little monster darling still screams in every picture, no worries, you don’t have to buy anything. We can always try again next time.

Of course there’s a pretty good chance it will rain as it’s been raining in Ohio for the past six weeks, in which case we’ll reschedule for a following park day. Same if you can’t make it to this one. If you CAN make it to Highbanks and you ARE interested, please fill out the form to reserve your spot, or give me a call 740-405-9995. For multiple children allow an extra 15 minutes per child.

I will try to call or email the night before if it definitely looks like rain but if it’s 50/50 I’ll be there with my raincoat and we’ll try to dodge the drops. (Amazingly overcast days are much better for portraits than blue sky sunny days!)

Portraits in the Garden – now booking @ Franklin Park Conservatory!

It’s cold and snowy and gray. It’s going to continue to be cold and snowy and gray for the next month or two. If you’d like to inject a little color into your winter now is the perfect time for an indoor session at Franklin Park Conservatory!

Here’s the deal:

What: Portraits in the Garden

When: Anytime in February, 10am – 3pm

Cost: $75 covers the session fee as well as admission to the Conservatory for two adults and two children. Admission for additional adults: $11, children: $6, under 2: FREE!

Details: We’ll cruise the conservatory for great portrait spots and afterward you are free to stay and enjoy the rest of the exhibits (the Orchid Forest is currently open so we will get to enjoy that as well).
